Hematopoietic Stem Cell Niche

This image depicts a HSC (hematopoietic stem cell) niche in the bone marrow. The top portion of the image is the vascular niche, including a capillary lined with endothelial cells. In the extravascular space, but attached to the capillary, are a SNS (sympathetic nervous system) cell and a nestin expressing MSC (mesenchymal stromal cell). Also near the HSC and attached to an endothelieal cell is a CAR (chimeric antigen receptor) cell. Central to this image is the HSC, with its many receptors showing.
